Refugee Resettlement

Summit Rotary partners with CWS to support refugee resettlement through housing setup, essential supplies, education assistance, and community integration.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

In conjunction with local nonprofit, Church World Services (CWS), the Refugee Resettlement committee works to better the lives of new North Carolinians. Over the past few years, we’ve partnered with CWS in multiple impactful ways.

HOW WE SERVE

Our committee members are hands-on, providing direct support to welcome our new neighbors.

STRATEGIC GRANTS

We have awarded two significant grants to support infrastructure and education for our new neighbors:

Storage Infrastructure

Paid for two much needed storage units to house surplus donations, ensuring resources are available when families arrive.

CARE Program

Provided funds to our CARE (career pathways program) to cover college application fees, course registration fees, books, laptops, etc. for clients enrolled in education and training programs

PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING

Beyond immediate needs, we focus on long-term success through professional networking support. Our members leverage their diverse professional backgrounds to:

Make employer and mentor connections in relevant fields.

Meet with clients one-on-one to offer insight into their industries.

Provide guidance on navigating the local professional landscape.
